Hi,

I've been doing a little researching into which E-Mountain bike will fit my needs and budget. Though I would be interested to see any more suggestions from experienced riders.

Here is my approx list of requirements (Budget approx £2000).

  • Mid mount motor ( as comparably good as the well established yamaha and bosch makes)
  • Hard-tail
  • Good quality components - for the front shocks absorbers, brakes etc (no bling required).
  • 27.5" > 29"

I was initially hoping to buy direct from the manufactures in order to get a better quality to cost ratio, but I don't think that's a even a option with electric mountain bikes in the UK unless you have the right connections (i.e -friend of bike shop owner/manufacturers etc).

So essentially the best equipped (the essential components like brakes, chain ring, wheels ect) ,front shock only, mid mount, electric mountain bike I can get (in the UK- inc posted from within the continent of Europe).

Thanks.

I decided on this one http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Reaction-Hybrid-HPA-SL-500-29er-2017-Electric-Bike_98485.htm

With the 15% discount it was only slightly above my budget.Good spec as a price comparison ( Rock Shox) and I really like the low form factor. Though it has not got "pro" written any where in the name which I'm a little concerned about ;-).

I'm feeling a little "naughty" for spending so much on a new shiny toy. I think I will sell my non-electric mountain bike and donate some to charity.kids everywhere love riding bikes given the chance :).

Bongoyepp, before you even think about buying a bike from the Electric Transport Shop, I would strongly advise reading through the following thread, as it makes for shocking reading.

Hi Eddie and Bongoyepp, this issue has been resolved. As you'll see reading through the forum it is not uncommon for chains to break on powerful crank drive systems. If you message the customer sharing his frustration regarding the problem I'm sure you'll find he confirms that we've been responsive and helpful. Of course problems will be disappointing but that's what we're here to help with.
