Hi,

My name is Nick, I live in Dorset and I'm a new subscriber to Pedelecs.

I need to buy a replacement 'Bearprint' battery for my 'Bearprint' low step-thru bike.

Problem is 'Bearprint' have gone into liquidation and I don't know where to get the replacement battery? My existing 'Bearprint' battery is a 36v 10ah, probably made in China.

I remember the guy in charge of 'Bearprint' was a Mr.Phil Ball, a very helpful bloke and I am sorry to hear he seems to have gone out of business. Wonder where he is now?

Any ideas about replacing the 'Bearprint' battery, anyone?

Thanks in anticipation.

I think you will find that a Freego battery will slot straight in as Bearprints were largely the same bikes.

Alternatively, there are other suppliers who might be a bit cheaper. I would suggest that you send a 'personal message' via this site to a member named "Bazwaldo". He also has a Bearprint with a huge mileage on it, and I'm sure he has detailed knowledge of Bearprint battery replacement options.

The battery is a standard catalogue item. It's not specific to Bearprint. Loads of bikes have the same battery, so you can get one from loads of places. When you get one, check that the battery terminals are the same way round with a voltmeter because there's no standard. It's the outer two slots under the battery. If they're the wrong way round, it's easy to swap them over.
