My pedal rotation had become a bit choppy, so I decided to pull out the axle for a look. As you can see, one of the thrust bearings had decided to self destruct, which was causing the rotation issue.
I've got a new set on the way from Green Bike Kit, but I'm wondering if anyone on here has replaced the bearing seat, next to the needle bearing in the bottom bracket?
I've gently tried to prise it out with a plastic tool, but it doesn't seem to want to budge. If they are in really tight, then I will just leave that part in and replace the cage bearing and outer seat. But if someone has done this and succeeded, could you offer any tips, so that I don't end up butchering the bottom bracket area please.
