Battery stolen?

Just got a Typhoon with a bottle battery and am finding it a bind carrying it around so was wondering if anyone has actually had their battery stolen? I'm not really on about it being 'accidentally' stolen when the whole bike was taken but just having the battery taken.

I'd add some extra security, like a couple of large jubilee clips around the battery and frame. That'll be a stronger fixing for the battery too.

Yes I was thinking of doing something similar but was wondering if I was being paranoid. When you think about it ebikes are relatively rare, the batteries tend to be pretty specific to the bike, the bikes usually come with one and the people who want a second one aren't likely to be the type to buy one off the guy in the pub.
Not much in the way of responses, which makes me wonder if any have ever been nicked.

Some fell off when the latch failed. Put the straps around it and kill two birds with one stone.
