Hi - I have a Powabyke Salisbury with LPX 26v 10.5 Ah battery which now fully discharges after around 8 miles when using pedal assist. It is OK in short term, but I would appreciate advice about replacement please. Is there an upgraded battery now available and what is cheapest way to go please? Many thanks.

There's no further upgrade, the lithium one that you have was an upgrade from the old 8.5Ah NiMh baattery.

Powacycle's price for it is £312, so that Powered Bicycle's price that Shemozzle links to is a small saving.

If you don't mind a bit of DIY (wiring), you can fit a much better battery at a lot less cost.

Hi Folks
I have just converted my Salisbury to 36v 3 x12v10ah lead acids and a 36 volt controller with a new throttle and pedelec sensor together with a new 36 v charger total cost was £54 batteries , £33 controller and bits and £14 charger all new bits from ebay, I made that a total of £101 , job done and the batteries now sit on the rack , I opened up the battery box and took 2 wires out to the batteries so It can be converted back to standard if and when the lipo packs come down in price ..

regards

Apologies, the original manufacturer of the Kudos Sport bike gave us an amazing price for both the bike and spare batteries. This manufacturer is no longer trading, but we have made a commitment to continue servicing these bikes after the model is discontinued. To maintain that commitment we had to buy a small quantity of batteries from a rival supplier at a considerably higher price, hence the higher price.
We have one ex demo Kudos Sport, priced at £695.00.
