Is it possible to get a handlebar mounted battery meter, for the Powacycle Salisbury ? something that will give an accurate reading of battery status, rather than relying on the three LED lights on top of battery, which are difficult to see whilst riding, and I suspect not completely accurate......Del.

Hi...I think that the best bet is to rely on a decent trip meter, which after you have established average range will tell you miles travelled since last charge which in turn will inform you how many miles left in battery.

Yes, maybe, otherwise you're into fitting a Watts Up or Turnigy meter with some sort of DIY mounting...

It allows you to measure various things like Voltage, Amps, Watts etc either min or max and how many Ah you draw during your ride.

I tend to use mine plugged in sometimes when I want to get an idea of how much capacity a particular trip draws from my battery. I then use that info for the future knowing how often and when I will need to charge my battery on a given trip. Also enabled me to decide the size of my DIY batteries when I built them. Or for example the max Amps may tell you what size fuse to use.

Cheap and a very useful tool. I don't leave mine connected all the time just use it to inform my project builds.

I think provision of more than just a Volt reading is required for battery monitoring/capacity.

Would give a rough guide to when the battery is full/discharged though I guess.

Think I'll go with Mike63 on this one, will be doing same route [more or less], every day, so trip meter would work fine, I see that Halfords have some fairly cheap ones.......Del. ;) ;)
