Hi, my wife has a bh emotion neo city bike , it is just out of warranty (About 4 weeks)and the company won't do anything about it apart from offering me a battery at trade which is still going to be around £380 . great!
It's a samsung 36v 9ah which forms part of the frame in a shaped case, having no experience with batteries just wondering whether if anyone knows where I could buy the lithium batteries to go in the case and how difficult is it to change them over ? Is it a cost effective thing to have a go at changing them , or is there someone that I could send it to , or should I just buy the whole thing from e motion, not keen on doing that after the response I had from them , really not at all helpful. Thanks

Middle bit of the UK.
If your handy with a soldering iron or lucky to be able to buy packs with the same dimensions then you can swap them fairly easily.

I have recently bought a "Thing". Half bike/Half scooter.looking "Thing" :)
Currently its fitted with SLA batteries but i bought a pair of 18v 4Ah batteries from HobbyKing.

Spotted an advert on ebay for someone that rebuilds batteries, But their feedback sucked.

For £380 you can buy a fair few batteries from HK or similar model shops.
The 2 batteries i bought give me 36v @ 4Ah and cost about £50 delivered.
£150 would give 12Ah.

The pair weigh just under 1kg also. 5s 4Ah zippy packs.

I am new here and learning as i go so do check anything i have written.

I'd take the offer of £380 for a new battery. Your bike won't be worth much second hand without a BH battery. Alternatively, ask d8veh if he can repair the old battery for you.
Woosh also do recelling if one of their batteries can be refitted inside your case.
