Just passed the first 100 miles on my Typhoon and have been trying to run the battery down to see what the range is like. On the LCD and the battery lights I'm at 50% however there's been quite a power drop off and when climbing even a very moderate incline the LCD cam drop to 0% which makes me drop the assist and put in more leg work.
So my question is what do people do - charge it up every time they are near a socket or wait for it to drop? Obviously if you going 20 miles or so you are going to charge it before you go out but if you are doing only a few miles a day then charging it every time seems a bit much.

I've run my Typhoon flat. It did 30 miles and game over. I've also done 30 miles and it was still going but with much reduced power. If I was only doing 2 or 3 miles I'd probably not charge it every day. I guess it all depends on how frequently you use it.

Charge up whenever you can. You get more power like that, and there's less chance of battery problems.

I always fully charge after each use, even a mile.
I never know how far I will want to go on the next ride.

I seem to remember another similar post where the consensus of opinion was that each recharge weakens the battery by a small amount and little and often does less harm than a deep cycle recharge...
