Battery charging help

Hi All, I'm new here and have a problem I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas.
I have a 1000W kit which has been doing great for many months. After a errr minor battery incident I have invested in a new lifepo4 pack its 48v / 25ah.
My charger(s) don't seem to want to switch into charging mode. Occasionally after a rewire it will charge fine, but most of the time I just get a green LED.
The battery reads 48.9v after my controller cuts off (36v with load), and the charger is delivering 55v.
Does the charger only kick if it sees a lower voltage?
Any help much appreciated!

Chargers for 36v batteries maybe?
What were the previous batteries which charged ok?

Hi, previous was also 48v but 20ah. I have 2 48v charger both doing the same. Feel like maybe i'm missing something simple. Thanks!
