Batribike`s First Birthday

My Batribike Quartz Folder SE is a year old this week . It`s been faultless and only a screw securing the battery retaining extrusion worked loose , soon fixed with a drop of threadlocking compound . The machine has covered 654 miles in the period and only adjustments for the brakes at the handlebar end have been necessary . The lacquered alloy finish is still in showroom condition . A fine machine which still gives me a buzz when starting off , a bit like the feeling when I start up my 1982 Suzuki X7 Two-stroke twin !
The Ebike has replaced my small Suzuki CS50 Roadie scooter on shorter trips .

Congratulations RoadieRoger on the 1st anniversary of your Batribike ownership.
Very glad to hear you are still enjoying it and get a buzz from using it.
The 1st year's ownership of my Bearprint bike will be on 21.10.11 and I should by then have over 5000 miles of work commuting under my belt.
I have also really enjoyed using my bike even through the winter and when it rains!

That`s some commuting mileage baz , more into Motorcycle territory like I used to do until I retired . I just googled Bearprint as I am not familiar with them . Bearprint and Batribike don`t get many mentions on here . I have just put another 12 miles on the Quartz with a circuit of Cardiff Airport , stopping to pick blackberries .Funny how the largest and best had to be left as I don`t fancy ones coated in jet fuel !
Safe riding on that Bearprint for the next 5,000 miles .

Just done another circuit of Cardiff Airport today and picked more blackberrries , not bad for November ! I noticed new blackberry flowers coming out , I like this global warming . The battery on the Quartz failed 10 yards from home after 27 miles , a mix of mainly medium assist , occasionally low and once on full to keep ahead of cars in roadworks too narrow for them to pass . I did get 33 miles when I first had the machine , so 900 miles and 15 months have reduced my 8Ah battery`s effectiveness slightly .
