Didn't with my Yose battery.
It's best to always buy them as a pair so that you know it's going to fit.

You know that you can remove the bottom piece of one battery and fit it to the other so that it fits? Just two wires to unsolder and resolder, or you might be lucky when they have bullet connectors on them.

My Wife has a 2014 Freego with a Freego battery connection as in 1st. Pic. She is too old for it so we are giving it away, but we want to make sure a new battery will fit. I have a 20118 Freego, which was converted, 2nd. Pic. and her Freego battery and my Yose battery both work with it. So am looking for just a base.....though they would be standard now.

As in #3 it is of a Silverfish style battery holder.

Use a meter on the two other pins , they are probably not connected .
Or simply drop the bottom of the battery out to check.
The batteries shoul dbe dumb so only two pins will be in use.

Quite likely the two left pins/slots on the battery are connected to each other , and the two right pins/slots to each other.
I think the holders usually connect to the outer pair, with the inner ones on the holder (if present) not connected to anything (as Nealh says).

That's certainly the case with my battery and base plate - after much searching and checking of measurements, I managed to find a compatible base plate for my battery on ebay, delivered from the UK.

About 50% of the base plate connectors have the outer pairs of pins paired up, but it's rare to see that inside the batteries, so a bit of a futile effort.
