I realise this is a pedelec forum but.... is e-scooter considered blasphemous here? If not.... does anyone know anything about Baroni electric scooters? Baroni EV | Electric Scooters

My interest in pedelecs does encompass things like scooters and electric cars etc....... I wondered if anyone has any experience of this scooter. They claim a range of 50-60 miles at max. speed of 30mph. I have the product spec sheet if anyone wants it, by the way

Not blasphemy at all. It looks ok, and there's many of these SLA battery mopeds used in China. At least the price is reasonable.

The current "Rolls Royce" of these is the Vectrix, a swish looking modern beast at around £7000 last time I looked:

Yes, I looked at the Vectrix on Electric Transport Shop's website. It does look very nice and stylish too. Cost is the thing, as usual (well, for me, at any rate). I'd really love one though and that's after owning 26 motor bikes of one sort or another. The ideal of a reasonable speed, quietly, and greenly (new adverb there..) really appeals to me. The Baroni struck me as a poor man's Vectrix....

Yes, very much that, only the heavy SLA batteries letting it down in performance terms. The Vectrix seems quite different, both fast and with good range, but an unknown quantity as far as battery and bike longevity are concerned. It's a very big bike in the flesh.

Yes indeed Mary, registration and all that follows that, though there are separate classes for the various electric vehicles.
