There are so many ways to revise the settings.
Your one in lower pas is stronger then high pas, though all is poorly set up.
You can try various settings so start with.
Basic tab.
PAS 1 start with C% start with 20 and then on each other level go up by 10 until you reach PAS9 C% 100.
PAS 1 Sp/lmt % start with 65% and vary the other pas up to 100 for pas 8 & 9.

Wheel 17" ? set this for your bike wheel size.
Sp mm, ext wheel sensor
SPM, 1

PAS.
PED TYPE , Double sig 24
Des assist, BDC
Spd Lmt , BDC
Start C% , 10 - 20
Slow St, 4- 6
St up deg, 4- 8
Work mode, 10
T os S, 20
Current decay, 6
Stop decay, 8
KC (the important one) 60 - 100% trial and error (set and ride then set again if need be).

Throttle handle ?
St V, 11
End V, 35
Mode, current
Des Assist 9
Mode, Current
Spd Lmt, BDC
St current% ,10

Thanks guys, this settings are what I bought my ebike with. The PAS setting are override by display from what I tested so far, so it's not that bad. The worst thing is I can't write to flash any new setting - the controller is locked somehow by producer. The bike is Rivel Aspen with AEG system, which under the cover is bafang. I already ordered a new controller from china which can be replaced and then I will change the settings. The most annoying thing while riding ths ebike is that after I stop peddaling for few seconds and start to peddal again, there is a lack of pawer, the full power is comes back after 8-10 seconds. Which parameter is responisble for this behaviour?

AFAIK, there are no factory settings. I don't know who or why the settings arrive like they do. It's an absolute mystery, but it seems that you get different settings from every different re-seller.

The bike motor looks like a welded integrated model and not the BBS01 we think of as I kit form.
So settings look like they may be fixed and not able to be over ridden.

With BBS01,02, HD kits etc we never touch read or write flash on the bottom right of the screen in the 3 sub menu's on top of the page.
On the bottom left just press read to bring up current settings and then write to store any changes made in each sub menu.

I think it is override by display, cos the 1-5 PAS modes work increasingly. Yes I can enter the 2nd screen with 0512 password, but there is only speed limit (I change it from 25 to 40 and it works fine) and wheel D, thats all.

The thing is I got second bike with AEG system - its Prophete navigator sport with bit bigger AEG engine, and I can easily change any setting, the program works fine it's the controller causing the problem. I opened the AEG cover on Rivel and there are bafang numbers everywhere:

That looks like a newer version is the motor in a cage type mount built as part of the frame a pic of the motor and the bike might help

Not sure if the software is the same for that motor as bbs01:( I remember reading on ES about problems and locked firmware  does the display show more details about the battery range etc if that is the case I suspect it will not mod easily as the controller is not the same

I hope it is bbs01, software connects easily, I don't know if bafang built different engine types for AEG, what I know I got different AEG bike and programming is doable, so... My display looks like this:

That's not a bbs01 display I have ever seen looks like you have package made up by bafang to suit aeg requirements still
Do not think that's a bbs01 motor think that's a version of the max or ultra drive without all its plastic covers if so the software does not cover all the new motors

Hi, I know that the post is old now but can you tell if you succeeded in programming your bike? I am about to buy a bike that has a similar ComforDrive engine from AEG and I am interested in knowing whether or not I can reprogram it.
Cheers
Jeff

Hi, did you find a solution for this ? I have the exact same issue with my BBS01. Actually we have 50 motors. All with same issue. Can read flash, but cant wirte. When reading flash we get the same strange values
