Hi
The pedal sensor on my Babboe City-e (2018) seems to have died, rationale being:
- Error 9 appearing on screen (Communication error - No communication between display and controller or speed sensor)
- Walk mode still working fine (So battery, motor and controller must work ok)
- No assistance while pedalling
However it seems impossible to get a new one, I have tried Babboe directly, lots of dealers including some in the Netherlands, looking out on ebay for second hand and at this stage I am tearing my hair out (I have been searching since before Christmas!)
So, I'm now looking at the sensor and wondering if I can replace it with a generic one?
However... I cannot find a generic one with the same connector type... and while I am quite happy to cut connectors off and solder wires together I would have no idea which cable to connect to what. In particular the spec of the sensor says it has an "EM5 5-pin male plug-and-turn metal connector" and I can only find 3 pin alternatives?
