Attaching a thermistor

Featured Replies

Is there any particular adhestive I should use for attaching a thermistor on a battery pack? I assume I need something that conducts heat well.

I don't think its that critical. Some of them are just pushed into place rather than glued. You could tape it on, or use hot melt glue or araldite, etc. All you really need to ensure is that the thermal path from the battery to the thermistor is a lot better than from the thermistor to the outside world.

They're usually just pressed into place, for example by placing them between cells and using a piece of rubber or plastic sleeving to hold them against a cell wall. I personally wouldn't go as far as adhesive.
