Are "Axle Release" levers safe to use on hub motor wheels?

Back in 2014 when I had my Clean Republic Hill Topper 250W front hub motor kit, I used a pair of these Axle Release quick release levers.

Are they safe to use on a hub motor?

On a 250W I assume they are safe, because Clean Republic are still offering them with their Hill Topper kit now in 2021.

From memory I think it was about £15 or £20 to have them added to the kit.

What if they were used on a 500W motor? 750W? What's the limit?

AFAIK, there needs to be 40Nm of force on each side, I am sure that's impossible to achieve with such levers?

They'd probably be OK on a bike with steel forks, but you're asking for trouble using them on light alloy forks.

They seem completely unnecessary to me, and not worth the risk. Why would you want them unless you want to fit your bike to a roof rack or something like that?

I generally prefers the rear hub motors for better traction and stealth.
For front hubs, I only supply the lightweight XF07 front hub kits.

I was thinking about using them on a rear hub motor (BFSWX02) then I realised there's going to be a cable coming from the middle of the axle, along with the rear mech being in the way.

OK back to considering mid drive again.

I should have said that we stopped putting the front BPM kit on the online shop for about a year now.
I still have about 20 front BPM kits but no stock of rack batteries that normally is recommended for tandems with front BPM. Some older tandems don't have cassettes so the front BPM is a good choice. Also, a lot of 26" wheeled tandems have steel forks.

I fitted this one with the front BPM kit a few years ago. Note the torque arms.
