Evening, throttle jockeys!

I've just discovered there was a Sinclair e-bike introduced around 2011. The X-1 looks a bit like a Sinclair C5 but with only two wheels and a roof over zee top - and handlebars. Power comes from a 190-watt motor. I don't even remember this . Suppose it must have gone they same way as a lot of bright ideas!

Does anyone have any other Sinclair products? I bought a tiny Micro-6 radio kit in the 1960s - about the size of a matchbox. And in the 70s we had a Sinclair telly. It was about the size of a small box of chocs with a 2in black-and-white cathode ray tube screen at one end!

Keep Kool, Dudes!

As far as I know it was never released to the public, It was a pity at the advertised price I would have been all over it.
I had a ZX Spectrum a long time ago.

Fit a decent gear range and with that shell, going off riding velomobiles it would have been very fast (except uphill due to the weight).
A typical bike is an aerodynamic disaster at higher speeds.

The folding bike they actually sell looks more interesting. For £299 I would get one on c2w out of impulse.

Yes, that's it, Kinninvie - the new, improved model in your second link. It brings back memories of watching Coronation Street with the little telly perched on the fireplace. This picture was very good, but a little tiring to watch. It was a great 'posing' item at the time! We actually won it in a Daily Mirror competition! It had buttons galore on the front, and was supposed to work anywhere in zee world.

I suppose the C5 was ahead of its time, really. I mean it's quite like an aerodynamic recumbent that we might see on the roads nowadays. Maybe the X-1 would have succeeded in 2011 if it had come to market. I fancy one.

Apart from his computers, Sir Clive's brainwaves seem to have been rather short-lived. My pal had one of his Black Watch LED watches, which I think were pretty expensive.

Now that there's to be no weight restriction on e-bikes, I think we should all be building Mochet Velocars. They look just the ticket for the e-man or woman about town. (Soz I can't do pictures yet, but if you google Mochet Velocar on google images, you'll love 'em!).

Keep pedalling, dudes!
