Hi.

1st post and all that.

Wife and I are going to buy Halfords Crossfire bikes.

We have a motorhome that we travel love going away in but we have just brought a bigger unit that we cannot take into town/city centres due to the size a weight.

We have 3 years old who currently sits on the Weeride seat which mounts on the seat post and head stem thingy.

I have looked at all the Halfords eBikes and they all have a very shallow headset so not sure it will fit.

Planning to take the Weeride bar to the store to see if it fits but wondered if someone here has tried and if you failed, did you manage to find another e-bike that it would fit.

Hello and welcome to Pededelecs Forum.
Before you purchase two Crossfires, you might like to search these forums and discover the many problems suffered by these bikes.
In contrast the Crossfuse gets many plaudits.
Here are two threads of many:

Hi Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I've read about the cut-out issues but my understanding it was the older versions that have the issue.

We will use these bikes only when we are away in the motorhome so if we need to reset them once in a while it is not as if it will make us late for work.

From what I have read, they only need switching off and on again and the Crossfuse would come to £1200 extra for the two of them and this to me is a price too much for a pair of leisure bikes.

Have you looked at Woosh and Kudos as well; probably better value than Crossfire if you don't mind mail order? Some very good deals from Kudos on pairs of bikes.

Went into the shop today and it does fit.

Ordered the bikes, the deal was 20% off for trading in any old bike. Took two rusty heaps from my neighbours garden and got £480 off the two bikes and a year interest free.
