Any thoughts on fitting a Bafang mid to one of these (Electra cruiser)

I quite like the idea of the comfort pedals forward cruiser style. Steel frame so should be nice and strong. I can't turn much up when I search on anyone converting one but I imagine there must be some..

Has there been anyone here done likes of this, maybe an Electra Townie or any similar bikes.

Thanks

Thanks. I assume the build went ok? I wonder if the bottom bracket is the same size as the “cruiser” model. They’re a bit cheaper than the alu framed Townie.

Also note Woosh's own Crusa https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?crusa.
Probably cheaper than buying the one above and converting it.
(But there may be some reason Woosh didn't mention it himself).

yes. I assume that the bottom bracket is the same. The chainguard is not in the conversion, you may have to work on how to make it fit.

true, the Crusa is certainly cheaper than a conversion. The OP didn't ask for alternatives though.

Thanks for the help. Doesn't look particularly easy to locate many of them. One of the few actually available is this hub gear (3 speed) with back pedal brake. Maybe not ideal!

no, back pedal brake won't work with the normal BBSes.
