Was replacing the bottom bracket on a bike yesterday which is a story all to itself, but what anti seize compounds would you recommend? Copper grease which is what I have would seem to cause problems with aluminium.

For bottom brackets and headsets just use normal decent quality bike grease. Clean out all threads as thoroughly as you can and apply lots of grease to both sides when reinstalling. Ensure there's a decent film on any flat mating surfaces. Probably the only time I'd use anti-seize on a bike is on stainless bolts in aluminium bosses where there's significant exposure to road spray, e.g. mudguard mounts and bottle bosses. In the few places were I do use it I've always gone with Fenwicks and never had a problem.
