Hi folks, wife and i bought NCM ebikes to get out n about now we've retired. We live at top of a hill so seem ideal to go electric after years of lumbering up the hill or resorting to pushing!

Enjoy your new bikes.

Don't forget the bike will be working much harder when you end your ride and are going up the hill. If it is getting low on battery that extra work will cause voltage sag and could cause the battery to shut off completely to protect itself. The last thing you'll feel like at the end of the ride is pushing the bike up the hill. I'm not sure what sort of battery meter you have, but on a typical 5 or 6 bar display you want at last a couple of bars left at the bottom of the final hill.

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you are careful and don't try to squeeze the last mile of range out of the battery.

Based on my own unfit experience living up-slope/hill.. The last 4miles of 1 route out of the city here is upslope, shorter routes include hills ;) If you could pedal yourself up a hill pre ebike you should sail up with assistance, The hills that required me to drop into low gears and puff n pant my way up are now traversed with my arse comfortably in the saddle..
just be mindful if the motor is labouring uphill and your speed drops below 8mph the motor could start to overheat, not a huge issue if at the crest of the last hill home.

enjoy your bikes.
