September 21, 200817 yr another lookalike E bike on ebay £499 with 36v 12 amp battery Item number: 120305057411
September 21, 200817 yr Here's the link for that bike: Lookalike bike It says it's 20" wheels, so either that's a mistake or it's ideal for youngsters! I think it's a mistake though, judging by the quoted frame size, probably 26" wheels. . Edited September 21, 200817 yr by flecc
September 22, 200817 yr Details say's it's got a 36V 12Ah lead-acid battery - interesting. That's a lot bigger than the 8AH battery that came in my bike but looking at the picture the case is no bigger, in fact it looks slightly smaller. When I tried upgrading my 8AH batteries I could not find any batteries that would fit my case or even fit in the battery space on the bike – too bloody big. So where are these small sized 12AH batteries coming from? Not from the UK. Is this another attempt by the Chinese manufactures to set a specification/standard - one which the rest of the world will totally ignore (as usual) .
September 22, 200817 yr I think the 12 Ah is more likely to be another dodgy number like that 20" wheel one. I wouldn't even trust to it being a 21" frame as they say. If it is lead acid it's a very high price, since SLA bikes like this were being sold off to clear for under £500 a while ago. . Edited September 22, 200817 yr by flecc
