Is anyone aware of a source or the name of the slot shaped steel washer/inserts for use with 100% plastic hailong battery base/sleds?
my google-fu has failed..

My kit came with a single 'slot liner'? which has remained secure, However the other fixings through the plastic slots were Made with screws and circular washers which now after 18 months of the odd drop and knock have 'worked through the plastic slot s damaging them in the process.

I could shift the base a few mm up or down and resecure using the least damaged plastic slot areas but i fear thats just putting off the issue for another few months at best..

Ideally i can find a source for similar ? 6mm x 20mm x 1mm SS slot shaped washer/inserts otherwise i may need to file down some tin lids and epoxy a composite sandwich which would be a major pita.

In case this helps you. I always use a separate controller. That leaves the thick aluminium heatsink in the bottom part of the battery-mount. I drill a hole in the middle of it and fit a rivnut in the frame to match it. It's a bit awkward to line them up because the plastic covers the heatsink. You could drill a hole right through the plastic as well so that you can go through the hole to mark the frame, but I don't bother. I'm not sure why. This bottom foxing is always a lot stronger than the top ones.

Great idea when the controller void is empty. Mine is occupied however and i prefer the lack of an extra bolt on box/bag atm. Though long term it may become necessary if i only apply a bodge fix now..

Perhaps moving the single slot insert/washer to the top mount from the bottom may prove better..

Cheers.
