Alien bike battery help

Featured Replies

Hello, a few days ago I got an Alien bike (not sure which one) for the price of free but it did not come with a battery. I know it’s 36v as found marking on the hub and controller. I have tried it with two drill batteries linked in series giving 36v which power the hub and battery status indicator.

The marking on the hub is XD xps01 36v26” 0902 0019 and I have attached pictures of the controller and the light switch which has branding that matches brake levers.

What battery would be a good match for this bike?

thank you

Michael

You'll struggle to find a battery that fits the rack, but you can use any 36v battery you want and fit it how or wherever you want.

The controller is very old and pretty poor by modern standards. If you can afford it, it would be worth upgrading that at the same time, so theat you get a range of power levels for the pedal assist rather than only maimum power when you pedal.
