Yes looks very good value - Amazon and Ebay have similar product but for higher prices. I can't really justify it - I tend to get the local bike shop to do my maintenance these days. However it has me thinking about repurposing my redundant, light but pretty strong, photographic tripod for the occasional job.
PS Yes I guess it would need some bracing! Or perhaps the cantilevered garden shade could double up?

I bought one of those some 8 years ago and use it mainly for gear indexing - it's not perfect in terms of clamping so I simply hook the saddle over the clamp arm and use a toes strap to anchor the front wheel to one of the tripod arms.
The tripod is kept outside in all weathers and still functions very well.

I've got those too - good wide sturdy bases but the tubing is quite thin. I don't think they'd bear my bike's weight at height without bending, which would make them less effective at holding lights.However it has me thinking about repurposing my redundant, light but pretty strong, photographic tripod for the occasional job.

You were absolutely right in 2020 - drivers do indeed fear unnaturally horizontal orange lollipops. I suspect this is because we learned as children that unwrapped horizontal lollipops are rarely hygienic, and should be feared.They are also doing petrol chainsaws...

Traffic Boom - legal?
With the boom in traffic since the end of lock down, the number of close passes and punishment passes I'm getting is increasing again. This is a big problem on certain parts of my commute where there are painted dashed lines demarcating a "cycle lane" (what the Belgians call "murder strips")...

Hoping to increase driver passing distance at night, I've glued front and rear reflectors to my wing mirrors.
I can't recall who on this forum mentioned that lights which highlight the width of the handlebars at night, might influence drivers to not cut in ahead so close after overtaking... but I think whoever said that might be right, so I've stuck dual sided white and red reflectors to my wing...

And I still haven't experienced a close overtake since! It's only vulnerability is being grabbed and tugged, which could pull my bike over... this could be remedied by a pop-out stem design, but the orange lollipop waggles around so much in use that I doubt louts would be able to grab a hold anyway. However, they could invent a lollipop grabber, sparking an arms race.

It's suddenly a tricky choice! An entire extra leg and 5kg extra capacity from Aldi's tomorrow for £8.01 more, or Planet X's very reasonably priced product, which seems good judging by Amazon reviews:
My Lidl quad foot bike stand held my Kona Ute whilst I fettles the gears on Monday, and the Ute is a heavy unwieldy bike to balance.
