hi all been hankering after a new more powerfull ebike for sometime now.
unfortunately my centeral heating boiler has died and needs replacing.
so new bike is not going to happen.
I currently have specialised sirrus elite fitted with ebc rear 250w 36v hub moter, happy with this 5 levels assist I find I can pootle about on level 2 and get descent range from 13ah battery 40+ if not windy, (not tried and big hills yet)
but find I am always looking for potholes etc on 25c front 28 rear tyres.
the kudos I like for rougher stuff canal paths etc very mild offroad and shopping
kudos vita uno basically kudos cobra I think 10.4ah bat , always wanted just a bit more grunt for hills, battery after some 3000 miles is now dropping from 4 to 1 led on the most modest of slopes.

I have a new bottle battery 10.4 but different fitting to original kudos.
heres what I would like to try first,
fit mid drive to kudos mtb but (leaving rear hub moter wheel on bike/controller every thing intact) but use new battery connected to mid drive moter this is really out of curreosity if mid drive is similar or how it differs from kudos when new.
the kudos will be heavier with moter wheel left but id just like to try it ,can also revert back to original setup but using new battery.
I have a full sus bike I may use with this kit if I can figure out where to mount battery.
I have purchased but not received yet ebc moter kit 250w, a spare battery cradle (but no battery) I will use the
ebc battery of sirrus once I have decided how best to proceed.
cd has 4 modes eco tour sport and turbo I think

how does a cd moter compare with the more exotic crank drives as fitted to the more expensive ebikes £1500 or more
