Well, we can only hope it comes to fruition and makes an appearance on an electric bike or car sometime near me; but I'm not holding my breath. Previous experience has taught me I'd long blue in the face and pretty green before any lab-tech improvement ever made it (if at all) to the street.

This is an example of a phenomenon that we often see. The road from laboratory to market place is a long one, fraught with hidden dangers. Doubling the capacity of any battery is such a sought-after prize, that if this is real, investors would be killing each other to get there first. In most cases, we never hear anything about it ever again. Remember "Tomorrow`s World"? How much of that stuff can you buy now in Aldi`s?

Yup - also cyclical , I read so much tech press and read a new battery tech every week..... None of which come to anything. The only one that will is lithium air battery's for large scale uses - no good for us
