This video from Mark Newton about obstructions on the National Cycle Network:

has prompted me to ask about the experience of others, and look for suggestions are to how to get rid of all these anti-cycling features.

Has anyone had major problems with e-bikes and these barriers, as they tend to be bigger and heavier than pedal cycles?

I suggest that the way to attack this is via Disability Discrimination, as well as arguing for cycling.

In my immediate District Council area, there are hundreds of these on otehrwise accessible trails.

Any thoughts are most welcome.

They are annoying, their only purpose is to stop motor cyclists.
At one time, South Wales Police had off road Police motor cycles to deal with this sort of problem.

In North London some of the 'airlock' style swing gates aren't capacious enough for a bicycle to get through so you're into heavy lifting.

Is there much difference between pedelecs and normal bikes in difficulties?

I'm guessing that it is more difficult for pedelecs because:

a - Pedelecs are rather more tanklike in general.
b - They tend to be ridden by the more senior amongst us.

Is there any evidence that:

a - This works
b - Or is it an alleged solution to what is a very minor problem?
