A2B Hybrid - off road ?

Hello all, just a quick question. I am currently using a A2B hybrid for my jounery to work and I travel 3 miles over private land that i have permission for as part of my ride. Is there a way of upping the speed of the Hybrid while not on public land. My old wisper 905 used to have an off road button that could be pressed.

ok, so no off road button, is there a way for swapping the rear hub to a more powerfull one as my total trip every day is only 8.3 miles i get free power from my company so charging the battery more often is not a problem and it has a speedo so no problem keeping it legal

I am afraid not. You could change to an aftermarket hub from another supplier. It sounds like you would be better off with a Metro, which if you are permanently off road can be de-restricted to 23mph

The legal issues isn't about keeping the bike under the ebike speed limit. The legal issue is concerned with having a bike that isn't capable of exceeding the ebike speed limit.

For example, if you have an ebike capable for travelling @ 25mph under electric power/assist then that in itself is illegal - it doesn't matter if you ensure you never actually travel faster that 15.5mph.

As far as swapping the rear hub - anything is possible given the right width/size wheel and a bit of soldering for the electrical connections. If you want more speed you want a motor that has a higher rpm for the voltage of your battery pack than your current motor.
