That is a very good product spec  Were there any taxes, duty? Or was that the total price you paid for this well specified product?

What did DPD have to say for themselves? Did the recipient not want to relinquish possession?

I've always been impressed with the look (and price) of well specified battery packs like that, and very much look forward to reading about your experience! I especially look forward to the prospect of feeling envious of a great deal.

52 x 5000mah 21700 for approx. £127 is well cheap and is sub £ 2.44 per cell without taking in account the nickel, BMS, wiring, heat shrink etc ,etc.
The cells if grade A, are likely China factory ones so performance and life cycle after 50 or 100 cycles would be worth noting.
Pete are you going to keep track of the charging cycles and charging to see how it performs ?

We can't just discount or poo poo China made cells as in another battery thread China cells have been discussed and some of the China branded ones are very good performers and this is shown via some independent testing, what isn't know is how they stand life cycle wise.

We already know that for example: Samsung 25R is a top high current cell and one of the best, we now know there is China cell that is equally as good for less then £2 each.

Until some of these cells are explored used a bit more we haven't enough info to really recommend to many, though they are opening other options for ebike use once a factory brand gets recognised a bit more. BAK brand cells are possibly one that are emerging.

I might actually try a battery pack like one of those - costs less than a quarter of something with similar specs (but in a case) from ebikebatteries.co.uk. Even if it's life expectancy is half as long, and it performs adequately... I'd call that deal acceptable.

If one got two or three good years of use then very acceptable.

Suspect it is the same china cells that go in the 19.2 ah shark packs that hollomotor and risun motor sell both of which i purchased and found to be excellent packs with very little sag and 50 mile range on a bbshd
So was worth it worth the risk charger not included in the link and delivery is by boat so very slow but sub £130 all in Dpd and all the  will know tomorrow when its in the fs frame and i get a test ride

I bought the 13S-3P version of that battery over the summer. Ordered in July from Littokala on their aliexpress page. It came about 9 weeks later. I didn't worry too much. It just showed up one day.

It's supposed to be 15AH. I've only used it briefly. I put on 12 miles on a 750W BBS02, to see if it could push 25A w/o sagging. It seemed to do OK. Then I rode 43 miles til the battery went flat on a 500W Q100H bike. I recharged it and it took 12.2AH. My bike's LVC at 40V should be about 80% of battery capacity. And 80% of 15AH is 12 AH, so I'm OK with this. A 50 mile battery for not much money. I paid $107 USD with shipping. As long as it's safe, but who knows. I'm pretty sure it's cheaply made though. For sure, no spacers. Cells glued together. Probably safe as long as I don't drop it. I've wrapped it in rubber and coroplastic and put a second shrink wrap layer around it.

I haven't had time to even use it further. Winter is almost here. I do need to run it down a little bit. It's still fully charged.
