A question about bottle battery with controller

I have seen xofo offers a bottle battery with a controller inside:

I have asked and they have told me it is the same product as BMSbattery:

But with the advantage that at xofo one may choose Samsung cells (BMSbattery cell brand is unknown).

I believe this product is a nice one, since AFAIK is the only one combining the controller and the battery.

My question is the following:

Let us assume I have found a stealthy place to put a smaller battery, say a 10s2p or even a 12s2p. I want to have two possibilities:

1. Urban usage: small distances, it is important not to have to carry a big bottle with me when I park the bike
2. Weekend usage: longer distances, but then carrying a big bottle is not an inconvenient

Would it be possible to leave the big bottle at home during weekdays, and use the smaller battery instead, but with the controller left at the bike?

I believe the base for the bottle battery and the controller are anchored to the water bottle holder of the bike's frame. So, if I parked the bike at the city, it would look like as if I had taken the bottle battery with me, but in fact it would not be true: the bottle battery would be at home, and the small battery (which is hidden at the bike) would be left at the bike.

But I do not know if it is possible to use that controller with another battery, or if the controller only works with the bottle battery of the whole package.

Does anybody know?

Of course, a cheaper alternative would be if I could take say 20 cells out of the 40 cells of the 10s4p of the bottle battery and put them inside my "secret" location at the bike during the weekdays, and put them inside the bottle battery again during the weekends. But I guess the cells are welded together and they cannot be taken apart, right?

Just as a reference, I have asked the following question to BMSbattery, let us see what they say:

"Hello, I am interested in the S06S controller "for new bottle case" and the bottle case, but with no cells (I have cells myself).

I see you sell a complete bottle case, with S06S (or a S06P, the webpage lets the buyer to choose from the two) controller, and 10s4p cells:

But if I want to buy only the S06S controller "for new bottle case" and the bottle case, I see I can buy the bottle case:
