A decent bike workshop in Bath

Hi Folks,
Following an unsatisfactory experience with Avon Cycles in Bath, can anyone recommend a decent bike workshop in Bath. I need to fix my gear cable.

You could try Hare's (t/a Cycle Works) in Weston. I didn't have much done there, but they were very helpful. Website: Your local cycling experts | Cycleworks

You might try John's Workshop in Walcot Street. They are competent and sometimes deal with electric bikes. It is managed by a Canadian who is familiar with Bionx.

I'll give Hares a spin. One of my colleagues had some work done at John's and it was very expensive and the technician was a bit grumpy/unhelpful.

I wonder if it is now incorporated into the NVQ training programme for bike workshop people

I'm afraid this is a widespread characteristic of the cycle trade, common even more than 50 years ago, especially among the independent small dealers.
