Hi Folks,
Following an unsatisfactory experience with Avon Cycles in Bath, can anyone recommend a decent bike workshop in Bath. I need to fix my gear cable.

You might try John's Workshop in Walcot Street. They are competent and sometimes deal with electric bikes. It is managed by a Canadian who is familiar with Bionx.

Thanks Guys,
I'll give Hares a spin. One of my colleagues had some work done at John's and it was very expensive and the technician was a bit grumpy/unhelpful.

I wonder if it is now incorporated into the NVQ training programme for bike workshop people:D

I'm afraid this is a widespread characteristic of the cycle trade, common even more than 50 years ago, especially among the independent small dealers.

Hi Musicbooks,

Have you tried Atmosphere in Bristol? not too far away and I've had a few dealings with them and always very good, always worth giving Alistair a call to see if he can help you.
