I've got some doubt that the disc brake manufacture is in fact Zoom, as those aren't a normal product line of theirs and it's a very specialised field.

Are there any markings or code numbers on it that you can see? That might help me track down who made it.

Hi, just got home from work.

The opnly things i can see are.
FØ160 or it could be FØ760 as the top is concealed.

The only other thigs printed, apart from Zoom are.
06.G
Patent
012153.

I have done a google but have been unable to come up with anything.

Thanks :)

For the moment that leaves me just as stumped I'm afraid. It looks like Zoom are dabbling in this market now, but with nothing known outside of their own company it seems.

Persisting with Wisper or doing as Gary has done, changing the disc brake, seem to be the only options at present. But I will try further to find out something for you.

I am suprised that more manufacturers/distributers dont actually have a spare parts service.

There must be a large propotion of customers who would undertake these tasks themselves if they were confident that they had the correct parts before starting the job as there would be less chance of running into problems fitting/replacing regularly servicable items.

Brake pads

Hi Hawkwind

If you call Phil at our New Milton warehouse and shop 01425 627641.

He will arrange to get some to you, they are £2.00 fr a set and £3.00 postage for as many sets as you need.

We have upgraded the brakes on the 2008 models and pads will be available in most bike shops.

Best regards David

Now that's what I call a quick response!

I emailed David about this problem just after 1 pm, and here's the answer at 2.28 pm.

Great service David, thanks for the prompt attention. :)
