Hi. I have had this folding bike from new . It developed a fault. Loosing power after a mile or two, also going up an incline. I asked a question on here, with the age of the battery could that be the problem. The battery was a 9amp one, I have had it rebuilt to a 14amp spec. I have yet to get it from the Ebike folks. But someone suggests it could be a controller problem as well. I don’t mind having the battery rebuilt , seven years use is great I think. Would you upgrade to a 16 amp from 14amp controller. When the power went, if I stopped and switched the battery on and off, it always returned. Can You advise.

Sounds like originally the old battery voltage was collapsing so an aging factor of worn cells, no use speculating about this that or t'other until the new battery is seen to cure the issue. If all works well then one can simply carry out a simple controller shunt mod to get a few more amps.
