I am currently banged up at home in London as I am part of the “shielded” group of clinically vulnerable people. As things start to move towards opening up, I find I am (finally) more anxious about being on the bus than I am about cycling in London!
I have commuted by bike in the past, but now I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and it is just not as easy. Since having the diagnosis I have successfully commuted by bike in the Netherlands - but there were some things that were difficult due to my condition; mainly being able to balance whilst getting on and off the bike - so traffic lights and stopping at crossings were stressful, but also fatigue. I’m sure an e-assist will help with the fatigue. Re balance, I have been advised to consider an e-trike.
I’ve looked around, and whilst I love the look of models like the Jorick even the folding version is too big. Folding is crucial as I live in a very small flat! Additional options are the Di Blasi and the Etnnic. I’ve read threads here that suggest that cornering on the Di Blasi is tough - plus the e-assist seems to be quite weak. I’m hoping that the tadpole design of the Etnnic will be better in that regard.
Does anyone have any experience of the Etnnic? Are there any other options that anyone recommends?
Thank you!
