Can anyone recommend an ebike that will go 20mph+? For under £2k.

I understand all the laws. I have use of private land which is where I'd be using it.

I like the look of the Woosh Camino, anyone know how fast that can go if derestricted?

My friend has the Faro but says it tops out at around 18mph

Many thanks.

The Shengyi DW22 hub motor on the Camino has a decent amount of torque at 50nm, so would be a good budget choice. It doesn't matter what make or type of ebike you have they can all be deristricted. However unless you have an electric motorcycle you won't be riding up a steep hill at 20mph. It's not going to make much difference overall and you may find range is more important than speed. If you have a medical condition that limits your strength, you will most likely benefit from more torque than speed. It's all subjective and I do remember buying my first ebike and thinking speed was the key to mobility. In many cases it isn't. Also, just to be clear, my EMTB is derestricted to 27.9 mph. But I rarely ride at that speed as I'd end up in the dirt. Downhill I can hit 40mph on all of my bikes, none of which are power assisted at that speed.

Thanks for the info.

Yes I understand that ebikes slow down on hills. I'm looking for something that can easily hit 20mph on the flat in normal conditions.

The Faro tops out at 18mph apparently. Presumably the Camino has a bit more oomph?

It's is the way for extra speed even SW with a dongle has to pedal like the clappers to get the extra speed .

tho to get that speed i need over 100rpm at the paddles at 120 i can nearly hit 40 mph but my hips are falling apart.

now if i could get that power at 80rpm it would be perfect but i cant change that

I have derestricted my woosh camino to 19 mph (30km/h as indicated by the control), no problems hitting that on flats. It can go >20 mph but i've just kept it at 19 as it's a good balance between speed and battery life.
