its amazing that something as simple as uploading some pics to show off a new bike should cause such anguish.....the files are too big, but re sizing them was real rocket science...(for me!)

anyway, the bike arrived today after a 5 day wait, and is very exciting...unfortunately DHL bust the packaging, so it was fingers Xd
04-IMG_0147.jpg

packing internally was pretty good, and only had to rotate bars and fit pedals , clips, and straps....battery arrived with 3 bars showing, and correct time AND in Englsih on the new Intuvia readout....08-IMG_0151.jpg
...the bars have a remore + and - knob for the assist level, mounted on the left, and now it has been reduced to just five levels

10-IMG_0153.jpg
the battery is (amazingly) the new resized jobbie, at seemingly no extra cost

07-IMG_0150.jpg

the only problem is the Rockshox Poploc remote on/off switch on the bars, was broken off when the bike came out of the packaging....it is not much of a problem, but just something that wouldn't happen with a local purchase...so at the moment, the forks are set to solid...have emailed rad-sport-brucki and will see if his response is any better than justebikes

more to come, when I have re-sized more pics

Congrats! Enjoy.

You do realise you have the front wheel facing the wrong way, don't you?

Yes, you need to rotate the handlebar mounting by 180 degrees since the wheel, fork and brake are the wrong way round.

Don't worry Barry, the excitement of a new bike (or any new item) always leads to looking at all the details closely and missing the whole at first. You'd soon have spotted it.

For the poploc just unclip the cable for now and manually set it.

thanks again folks....as Flecc says, sometimes you cant see what is quite obvious

I have disconnected the Poplock, but the fork lockout seems to be the default setting Amiga, sprung loaded in the 'locked' direction, and needing a cable pull to 'open' and reposition it???
19-IMG_0166.jpg

I have had an email from rad-sport-brucki this morning, apologising for the broken Poplock, and is putting a new one in the post today..........now That, is very re-assuring
21-IMG_0168.jpg....................as suggested!!!!!

16-IMG_0162.jpg......added muscle battery

15-IMG_0161.jpg.............quality kit

11-IMG_0154.jpg.....HMI unit is supposed to slide forward after releasing catch at the front, for removal, but does not want to shift....a bit nervous of this one

anyway, as its dry this morning, its time for a shake down, and see what doesn't work, and what does...

interestingly, the fork reversal, that has earned me pratt-of-the-week position, reminds me of a job that I had after retiring, with a company called ecurie25.com where my job was to deliver and pick up super cars from around the south east....on this occasion I was picking up a new Lambo Gallardo Cabrio, and was given the key, hopped in, turned the key, and ....nada....and then nada again
phoned head office and asked if there was any anti theft device on this new car, but No was the answer, just bloody TWIST the key...........so this time I gave it some welly and kawumff, it sprang into life, but I didn't live that down for quite some time

2-IMG_0002-2.jpg
this is just to prove that a Brompton (unpowered) will fit in the boot (ha-ha) of a Lambo Murcielargo, or failing that, put it in the passenger seat

cheers barryc

NO...I didnt get paid, but I got to use one of the cars for the weekend....

so we had long weekends in a Bentley Conti/Turbo 911/F430 Ferrari etc.....none of which my wife liked, as they were either noisy, uncomfortable , or too plutocratic

1-IMG_0007-7.jpg 2-IMG_0008-6.jpg 3-IMG_0008-3.jpg
some pics of Her Indoors, Not enjoying E25 cars

as Flecc has again wisely summed up, it was usually a relief to get the car back to base, unmarked, and still with a clean licence..........and especially unmarked on those desperately expensive (and very big) alloy wheels
...the very best bit was getting back onto the bike to come home

but...you met some interesting people, and a solo country run in an open F430 Ferrari, with the exhaust flicked on to Race setting, was a Very memorable experience, although it did demand a continuous observation of the rear view for blue lights
