Thought I'd chuck up a quick post about another of our bikes which I've recently built, a 2004 Specialised S-Works Enduro (voted as the bike of the decade). It started as a bare frame picked up off ebay and the research started...every bearing has been replaced (first filling them with grease as they all seem to come dry from the factory!) and a Cane Creek 40 headset fitted. Then the garage stock was raided and it has been decked out with 26" Nukeproof DH wheels, Fox 36 Talas fork/Factory CTD shock, XT Shadow+ rr dr matched to an XT shifter/SLX11-36 cassette and KMC X10-93 chain, 38t Raceface NW with Hope bashguard and top guide, Hope Tech M4s with floating rotors front and rear, 800mm Gravity bars...the list goes on! The BBS02 fits a treat, with the cabling routed out of sight and another one of Jimmy at Insat's 11.6Ah Topeak saddlebag battery finishes it off nicely. It's done 250 muddy miles in the last couple of weeks since building, so it's just had it's clean and check over after the shakedown period (no problems found, which was a nice surprise)...Here's a couple of pics of it and I'll post a thread about the Prophet soon when I've cleaned that too!

Eleven month update on this build...after a few months of riding the bike I realised the spec wasn't going to stand up to what I use the bike for, so I upped the game and donated the removed parts to my recently built Whyte 46.

The forks were changed for Fox Factory 40 FIT RC2 with a medium Ti spring and a BETD billet shock linkage fitted to balance them out, so it now has 203mm front and 190mm rear travel (up from the 130/130 as standard). To cope with the extra weight and potential extra speed ability, a set of Hope Tech3 V4 brakes with 203mm fr/rr V4 floating discs along with Sun Ringle MTX39 rims on Hope Pro2 Evo hubs running Maxxis Minion 2.5 DHF ST and High Roller 2 2.4 Exo tyres were added too...and that was the chassis sorted:)

The other changes have been a set of Renthal Carbon FatBars with a Hussfelt Direct Mount 60mm steerer and a change of drivechain. The XT shadow+ derailleur and shifter has been junked in favour of the cheaper Zee+ short caged derailleur and SLX shifter which have worked well on our other bikes. As the rear Hope hub is the SS/Trials version (bought as it has equal spoke lengths for strength and a steel freehub body, but only meant for single speed), a 10sp cassette was machined to fit and I now have a 7sp cassette squeezed on there with 11-27t available. With the loss of the larger 3 rear sprockets the 38t raceface NW chainring was never going to get me up some of the hills we ride, so a 32t version has been fitted which has lowered the top speed to around 25mph (with blurred legs) and restored the climbing ability;). The drivechain was finished off with a pair of the award winning Superstar Components Nano-X pedals, big and grippy:cool:

Not got many pics, as I ride it and don't have time:D...

Having got inspiration from Steves thread I decided to order a BBS02 to convert my Camber Comp 29er but I then noticed the S shaped down tube meant the motor would have to hang down vertically underneath the BB which is not ideal. So I changed track and started to look for an S-Works Enduro frame like Steves and managed to find a full bike fairly cheap. The spec of the parts was pretty poor but the Anodised frame looked mint.
So here it is with new BBS02/ DPC-14 waiting for the uprated forks, brakes, derailleur etc to arrive in the post.
Most of the bits including the 52v Sanyo GA 14/15Ah Topeak pack should arrive tomorrow so hopefully I'll be testing it all out later this weekend.
Sadly my build will be a lot more conservative than Steves awesome bike but I'm hoping it will be able to keep up with my brothers Scott e-spark 720 Bosch CX bike.

You won't regret choosing the S-Works Enduro nrgbod, they're a modern classic and ride really well...I've looked for the same silver anodized frame for a spare bike, but they're getting hard to find so you've done well and I can't wait to see it finished:)

Let us know how the GA pack performs when you start using it in anger please, as that will be the next upgrade for mine.

Let me know and I'll message you with the S-Works spec sheets, torque values, etc when I get a few minutes spare.
