I’ve just received my delivery of 18650 cells from nkon, and have tested each individual cell, and everyone comes back with the same voltage, which is good, but they’re all reading 3.50 volts. Is this right?

I don't think it's anything to worry about. 3.6v-3.65v is probably more normal for new cells as it represents 50% charge. As you say they are all the same voltage which I think is more important.

That’s what I was hoping, just wanted to make sure before I start welding them together. Got to say I was impressed at how every single one was 3.49-3.50.
Can recommend Nkon so far, the delivery time was excellent.
By the way, I got 40 x Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900mAh 10A and a sheet of paper insulation circles, all for £100.29 including delivery. I think that’s a pretty good price. Cheapest I could find on eBay was about £3.30 each, so quite a saving.
Like I say, would highly recommend them.

For bulk buying Nkon have been the recommended go to place for cells, esp with the very low p&p and 4 day delivery.
3.5v nothing to worry about esp as they are all the same voltage. My HE2's came as 3.68v & my PF's were 3.55v.

If buying item's for battery builds (bms/nickel) without cells then I buy from Annpower on Aliexpress or the cell insulators as a job lot of 400 (China) or so from ebay very cheaply, you can get 400 cheaper then you pay for 50 from a UK speculator.

Cheers, I’ve just been looking at annpower, wish I’d looked on there before I bought my battery bag, they have some decent cases on there at a decent price. What’s their delivery times like?

Not bad 7 or 8 days is my experience.

Cheers for that nealh, I’ll order some nickel strips because the stuff I bought off eBay is almost certainly nickel coated steel. I left a bit outside after I’d been practising welding, and it’s gone rusty. Never mind, it’ll do to practice with.

Copper & silver are a bugger to spot weld for the diy route.

Ann nickel is true to the listing, they do sell a small amount of plated as well so read the listing properly.
