Hi folks . . . I've just purchased a 1,000 watt non-geared hub-motor from a Chinese eBay seller and it's very stiff to rotate and doesn't Free-wheel easily, like all of my my previous motors have.
It's like having the brakes on all of the time if there's no power to it, so I'm not happy and have set up an eBay returns procedure.
I was planning on putting it in a Pawtrekker Dog Scooter with this more powerful 1,000 watt motor as I did in 2016 with this conversion with a 250 watt motor, which did Free-wheel very well, so I just wondered if anyone knew if all 1,000 watt hub-motors are like that.
