£1,000 budget for folding E-Bike for regular urban journeys

I'm hoping for some advice on the best options for a folding E-Bike with a budget of up to £1,000. The main use will be for fairly short town & city journeys from the office to meetings / site visits in the local town area, and to take on the train to travel onward to meetings / site visits in the city. The E-Bike will be used by myself and my colleagues, so ideally will allow for a wide range of heights: from short to tall. I'm thinking that an external battery and not integrated might be most suitable because it seems this would be simpler to replace once it comes to the end of its life. I also need to ensure that the make is reliable, that replacement parts are clearly available, and it won't be a difficulty to arrange for repair and maintenance. Would really appreciate advice on good options for folding E-Bikes offering these things, and costing up to £1,000. Thanks for your help.

They're all much of a muchness and they're all a bit awkward to take on public transport.

Even the integrated batteries are standard and can be bought from Aliexpress or you can get them re-celled when they expire.

Folders tend to be more expensive than regular E Bikes, a budget of £1000 isn't realistic for most. Check out Wisper 806 for around £1300 also see the folding bike specialist CH WHITE in Malmesbury

Sadly, I don't think that Woosh do the Gallego any longer, as that sounded like it would have met your criteria.

if you are going to share a bike, it has to be much tougher built and simpler to operate than one that you would buy just for yourself because you have to expect that nobody is going to look after it.
People will forget to remove the LCD if it's detachable, lock it properly and constant re-arranging saddle height etc.
