    Dody eBay volt meters

Just checked mine for accuracy and found it consistantly reads 0.3v under. It is consistant and on the "right" side to be I guess, so can live with this. I have some red model "solarfilm" so will give that a try - thanks for the tip.

    Dody eBay volt meters

I purchased the same meter to monitor the standard battery while utilising a booster battery. When it arrived I thought I would check it utilising a 3S lipo. It gave all sorts of readings from 20-35v and I too thought I had received a dud. Then I noticed it was not 0-120v as I had thought but...

Dodgy- risk taking-brave act, but can be tried at home.

There is a built in cut-out to protect itself! I have a 17" workstation laptop that tripped the system everytime I tried to plug it in, but my colleague's normal 15" was fine. So, depending on the charger, you may have a problem.

Very nice i'm sure, but for 38mph and £4k I would be looking at a motorbike!

    Booster battery advice required

Just a quick update for information, should anyone be interested! To minimise cost on what is just an experiment to improve the bike for my purpose of a 12mile each way commute, I have gone for the following option. 2x5000mah 20c batteries from Hobbyking at £17 each, plus about £15 worth of...

Hi Potential Pedelec owner here (Wolverhampton)

I wanted to dip my toe without spending too much and liked the look of the Woosh Scirocco 2 with the 15ah battery. I purchased it via work on a salary sacrifice (company run rather than cyclescheme which takes 10% off the retailer) so it only costs about £400. The bike is a solid and heavy...

    Booster battery advice required

I guess you are right, I wasn't thinking it through. Setting the battery size just sets the safe charge rate, the cut out is voltage driven. Are the 20C rated batteries adequate for this purpose or am I better going for a higher rating. I have known some 25C batteries to puff up after a...

    Booster battery advice required

I will do a bit more experimentation with a 4250mah flight battery I have and check currents to try and determine how the range is affected. Although it would be nice to achieve 24miles range, my commute is only 12miles and I could recharge for the return trip. I am happy with the normal 15mph...

    Booster battery advice required

Im grasping most of that, but no sure why you say don't go below 12ah. What is the significance of the booster being a lower figure to the standard battery?

    Booster battery advice required

Thanks everyone for all the advice, but it does seem a little varied? If I upgrade the booster to 2x8000mah that will be larger than the main battery at 15ah. So as I near battery exhaustion, my main battery BMS will not be able to protect itself? Would the safer all round solution therefore...

    Booster battery advice required

Thanks for the advice Dv8eh. Can you clarify the issue of the balance cable and a single alarm. If parallel connected do the two batteries not really consist of 6 cells that should be individually balanced or do they just pair up? The cable appears to just pair up the two batteries. I had...

    Booster battery advice required

Following all the recent discussions re booster batteries, I have been doing a few experiments of my own. Although very impressed, considering the price, with my scirocco 2 (36v 15ah battery) its maximum restricted speed was only about 14.5mph. Wishing to increase this to approx 18-19mph, and...

Do many members ride a Woosh bike ?

Mike63 I live near Preston and have a Sirocco 2, my first ebike. I have no connections with Woosh except as a satisfied customer. The bike has performed beyond my expectations, regularly achieving 40km rides with 1500-2000ft climbing. It has a twist throttle that allows you to cruise on the...

    Suspension changes for chain drive?

How much suspension travel are we talking about? In my limited ebike experience suspension appears to be limited to 25-40mm travel, whereas mtb's are generally 100-200mm travel. I don't believe you will notice much difference at the lower end, but from experience, I agree with the others that...

    Woosh sirocco 2 review

Having found little actual test data, or reviews for this model, to assist my decision making prior to purchase, I submit this review to hopefully assist others. After following the forum for a couple of months, I decided to dip my toe into the world of electric bikes. As an existing, but...

    Scam Alert

Have the same experience myself every few months. I do the same as you and stall them for as long as possible. They often try to convince you that they are genuine by getting you to look into the computer registry setting. They tell you a line of code from the registry, saying they can only do...
