    Powacycle Prague (black) stolen

Nothing new really, just contacted the manufacturer, Powacycle, Bob was very friendly and promised to alert the bicycle shops in the area, in case somebody asks for replacement keys for such a bike. He confirmed they are not standard, so changing the locks will have to come through Powacycle.

    Powacycle Prague (black) stolen

I owned this electric bike for more than 2 years. It was stolen from my garage a couple of days (nights?) ago - that's 28 Oct 2014. It was chained, although nothing fancy, steel cable with key. The garage door is also not great safety, one of those common steel up-and-over, thinking about...

Assisted mode / gear shift conflict

That was what I would expect, thanks for confirmation flecc. It all make sense with speedlimit and older users, still perhaps the Normal mode limitation is a step too far if done by design. I have already contacted Powacycle, let's hope they can do something about it. Many thanks to all the...

Assisted mode / gear shift conflict

Sorry for not being able to describe it, my vocabulary is limited when it comes about mechanical things. Let's concentrate on one aspect, pedalling in High mode and ignore the Medium for the time being. That means maximum of assistence from motor. No wind, flat terrain, start pedalling, the...

Assisted mode / gear shift conflict

    >> flecc says: "If you can use higher cadences and spin fast enough, there's nothing to stop you pedalling beyond the motor limit of course, many do when they have the strength." It's not about strength here, is it? I can spin as fast as humanly possible because there is no resistance in the...

Assisted mode / gear shift conflict

I've just bought this Powacycle Prague. New model, improving on older Salisbury / Windsor by adding extra assisted mode(s), but I'm not sure, possibly the problem was there for older models as well. I have 3 assisted modes, say High, Medium and Low. High takes more power from the battery and...

    How free-running is a brushless?

Thanks flecc, I've just contacted the manufacturer (Powacycle) I expect they will offer to take it to one of the closest dealer's shop and have a look, perhaps the gear casette on the back needs some adjusting.

    How free-running is a brushless?

Hi, I'm new here, I've just started to learn about electric bicycles and I have experienced both brush motors and brushless. Maybe my expectations were too high but I wasn't impressed by the brushless motor (on the back wheel, with 6 cogs Shimano dérailleur). I expected the wheel to run free...
