Think about buying a Yose power need help guys

It's good to ask here for advice but sometimes people can end up in "analysis paralysis". There's something to be said for hands on doing conversions and learning that way. A Yosepower kit is a good, inexpensive starting point that you can later do upgrades and refinements if you want to

    Fitting yose power

I think the yose kit has a speed based controller - as you approach the "speed" for that PAS level, the assitance decreases, and above the speed for that level it won't assist you at all. There are also "power based controllers" (e.g. KT )where the PAS level equates to the assistance in Watts.

Think about buying a Yose power need help guys

One of the things about speed on a bike, especially at higher speeds, on the flat it is very much affected by riding position and tyres. A rider on a road bike with drop handlebars and road tyres with 300 watts of power will do 25 mph, on a mountain bike with flat handlebars and MTB tyres they...

    Question regarding E bike purchasing

Don't know if it's any use but on Amazon if you pick an e-bike eg https://amzn.eu/d/an9Z5aZ (don't know what style you want) then you can apply for credit Eta Actually cheaper here , use code UFF35 for £35 discount, free delivery https://www.samebikes.co.uk/products/samebike-cy20-66dt And can...

    More Seizures

It's not a very stringent test, if someone set their wheel size to 16" and their display to km/h then an indicated 20km/h would actually be 20 mph but would pass this test

    Carrera vulcan or vengeance reliability?

Yes, I had noticed issues with these on the forum, I think it was the difficulty of fixing them that was the problem. Possibly better getting one with generic Chinese components, at least it is easy to fix if anything goes wrong. £500 is quite a low budget, but there are bikes on eBay / Amazon...

    Woosh Revisiting my first conversion

    Woosh Revisiting my first conversion

One thing I just noticed is that it is 3*7 gearing (so I guess it will be a freewheel). The motor hub wheel has an 8 speed cassette ! Can I use that and just use the top 7 gears of the 8 speed cassette ? Or do I need to buy a 7 speed cassette (if such things exist)

    Woosh Revisiting my first conversion

So this is the new donor bike (£80) - it honestly looks like it has never been ridden @Ghost1951 @saneagle - how are you getting on with those Zoom Xtech HB-100s ? This has combined brake levers / shifters so a cable actuated hydraulic caliper would make sense. It's for my niece who is 60kg...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Although China is slightly higher per capita CO2 emissions than us, than doesn't account for emissions embedded in traded goods : We are importing "emissions" in traded goods without them being accounted for

    Help! Legal e-bike kit recommendations

250w is the rated power, the actual max output power from a hub motor with a 36v 15 a controller with a full battery will be closer to 500W (42v *15amp * 80?% efficiency)

Front hub kit suggestions for Brompton clone with 20 inch wheel
