Manual says it's 0.5 output which is useless unless the phone's off, I'd imagine. I have a portable battery anyway. As I said, more worried about the motor cutting out when I used it. I'd love to hear from someone else who's tried it.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It's a Samsung but if it's 1A it wouldn't be enough. Just surprised at the motor cutting out.

Hi all. I took my 500 out for the second time today. 20 miles all in and really enjoyed climbing ridiculous hills without panting! One issue, though. I tried charging my phone with the USB and the bike immediately stopped working. Motor cut out. Unplugged phone and it started up immediately...

Thanks so much. I had another search around the bike and they were wired above the rear wheel! Couldn't work out why they weren't in the box with the battery ‍♂️

HI and thanks for this thread. Daft question to start but I've just bought this bike. Should there be a key for the battery. I don't seem to have one and can't find a basic 'what is in the box' to check. Thanks
