    Help with 73mm bracket

I installed a 250w on a 73mm bottom bracket and got both locknuts onto the bottom bracket without an issue, so you might be lucky. I had to find two longer hex nuts (20mm I think) to secure the triangle and I had to cut one of them down a little, but managed without too much difficulty. Fingers...

New installation of frame mount battery for off road

Thanks for that. I thought hydraulic brake sensors might be next on the list, but not sure now I’ve ridden the bike without them. I’ll give it a few more rides and keep thinking!

New installation of frame mount battery for off road

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I thought I would post a picture of the final result: I tried to use as few cable ties as possible, so you’ll see plenty of white gaffer tape about. I just need to tidy wires and things up now, and set the wheel circumference etc. Did I hear that the...

Batteries, where to get someone to refurb/sell?

I’ve recently had my battery recelled there and can vouch for them. Helpful, knowledgable and efficient! Cheaper than sending your trusty friend to landfill too!

New installation of frame mount battery for off road

That seems a great idea. Was it expensive? The supershark battery and kit came yesterday. I’ve fitted the battery base to the frame. There were two moulded rubber bases supplied with the battery that go between the battery base and frame, and I think they may serve a similar purpose by providing...

Can I just cut this stem with a good hacksaw

I used a steel pipecutter to shorten the stem on a pair of forks I had. I thought I had more chance of keepping the cut neat neat and at 90 degrees. It worked well!

New installation of frame mount battery for off road

Hi everyone. Great site. Very much a newbie to this, but wanting to convert a large size hard tail mtb into electric. I ride an electric town bike currently which is 6 years old now, and it has been my ‘go to’ bike in the garage for years now, so looking to something for ‘off road’. With...

    E-bike club Scotland

Great. Near H’burgh. Would love to join for rides once travel restrictions are through. Using a ‘dutch’ style town e-bike just now, so nothing too demanding though!!
