Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Renting social housing, and solar panels. Electric charge at off peak or when the sun is out £0.00 pence. Having solar on the roof was one of the things that made me say YES to this property. Although the whole street has solar, the landlord won't allow battery installation. Although I'm...

Bike delivery service in Wellington Telford - Success story

Its in its second or third year, so doing pretty well and they've just put in for a grant to expand. Considering big co's like Amazon and UPS are also trialing Ebike last mile deliveries, I think there's a sustainable market/push for this.

    Highway code changes

North London, and some better away from traffic cut throughs plus 20 MPH in all side streets when I left. I never did a lot of cycling. Was just getting back into it when my bike got nicked. Then I moved to Telford. I've seen some good drivers, but many drive like nuts round here, especially...

    Cycle route apps

Its worth looking at Komoot, which lets you see other riders routes, and add your own to share (optionally). https://www.komoot.com https://www.komoot.com/collection/881 You can buy packs for area etc. I think its good value and an easy to use app. I mostly use it for tracking, at the moment.

    Start up throttle mod?

I think some of the older bikes do allow throttle 'all the time' but you still need to have some pedal movement. I find mine invaluable. Esp like today when I'm low in energy and anemic but needed to get out. Mines a Freego.. Atman in Kent that does a lot of parts for Freego might be able to...

    Highway code changes

Been out today for a short ride. I already slow down when passing pedestrians on shared cycle/footpaths (I hate those anyway, bloody token things). And especially with horses as there have been some reports of really ignorant cyclists locally. Certainly no drivers I encountered were acting on...

    Shops in N London

The 'find a trader' link is deemed dodgy by my browser. I've got a mate looking to buy an eBike. Probably folding. Is there somewhere in North London he can go and have a good look/test ride. (he lives in Camden/Archway.) He's had a bit of a test on my old Freego folder and is pretty hooked :)

New Electric Bike Shop in Telford

Thank. First issue was the folding latch. Then the throttle on off button got bust recently. I think loading it into someones car. Latch seems to stay but I'll be sorting out the fitting of the replacement throttle switch soon. J

New Electric Bike Shop in Telford

Freego Folder - Freego went bust a while after I bought the bike. I can get parts, but will probably think of upgrading when I can go view bikes. Or find places with a good selection. Theres an excellent support group/network for existing Freego riders onFB

New Electric Bike Shop in Telford

And with the relocation of the car premises, probably the biggest ebike showroom in Telford is no more. Only found out this year when trying to solve an issue with an Ebike purchased from Severn Valley in 2018!

    Hello from Telford

Just saying Hi, first post etc. I've got a Freego Folder - hoping to replace at some point, parts will get harder to find and its got a couple of faults, that are being repaired. Keen to improve cycling conditions in the area. Council has declared a climate emergency etc etc :) Anyway. Hello! J
