Brief review of the Tern Vektron P7i .. warts and all.

Sorry, I realised I never did reply to this! The advice and review were really helpful. I ended up hiring a Vektron for a week but took your advice and was really forensic about my priorities. Folding didn't make the cut and I've gone with an HSD instead. Much more practical for the planned...

Brief review of the Tern Vektron P7i .. warts and all.

Thanks for the review, genuinely super helpful. Things that most worried me there were lack of ability to put on Marathon Plus and the low hanging derailleur. Any suggestions on those other options you mention? I've been looking quite seriously at the Vektron as it ticks a lot of boxes for me -...

    Creme Ristretto On+

Thank you. Sadly trying both tricky at the moment, but went with the Creme in the end!

    Creme Ristretto On+

That's super helpful, thank you! Thanks! The alternatives I've been looking at have largely been those using Ebikemotion X35. I'm relatively young and healthy, and won't be tackling very steep hills, I'm looking for something to take the sting out of a commute really. How do you think the...

    Creme Ristretto On+

Anyone come across this bike before or have any advice? https://www.pureelectric.com/collections/electric-bikes/products/creme-ristretto-on-solo-electric-hybrid-bike-2020?variant=32938718363736 I'm considering as a front rack would be useful and (crucially) there is a Pure Electric store nearby...

e-bikes under £1,200 to fit a child seat

Would that bike take a child seat? I notice the rack isn't attached to the seat stay and the back light looks like it might be wired in (i.e. tricky to remove)?

Help! Bit of maintenance advice for an amateur

Thanks everyone. Sounds daft but I hadn't realised building a new wheel around the existing hub was an option, looks like that is what's needed (if it can't be trued).

Help! Bit of maintenance advice for an amateur

Thanks both. Suppose the wheel did need replacing, any advice on sourcing it and whether a general bike repair shop would be able to do the job? I recognise it might be better to write off, but for a few reasons I'd rather try to get this fixed back up even if it turns out I've made an...

Help! Bit of maintenance advice for an amateur

Hi everyone, hoping you might be able to help me with some maintenance advice. So a few weeks ago borrowed my wife's electric bike for a journey and..... completely, over the handlebars, stacked it (tires caught in tram tracks in the rain is my excuse!). Anyway, I straightened the now off...

Help! Looking for a <£2k commuting ebike which will take a child seat

My wife has her own electric bike (experience on that is what prompted me to start looking!). Good shout on swinging the leg over though, I hadn't considered that....

Help! Looking for a <£2k commuting ebike which will take a child seat

Can I ask why you suggested the Rambla over the Faro or Camino? My usual preference would not be for a step-through bike.

Help! Looking for a <£2k commuting ebike which will take a child seat

Hi, Been lurking on this forum for a few weeks but just newly joined and hoping you might be able to offer some advice. I'm looking to buy an e-bike on the Cycle2Work scheme this month. I've done a fair bit of research, but just struggling a bit to find something which I'm sure does everything...
