    More Seizures

It seems very odd if they rely on the LED display for speed. Quite apart from the overrun issue, it is likely at best not to be very accurate. At worse, many dongles apparently cause it to display the wrong speed (out by a factor of 2?), or people will have applied other hack for it to show the...

    Freego Eagle gear ratio

I idly looked to see what the bike was like, and found the following curious statement Climbing ability:- Yes up to 15 mph but to be used on flat terrain only! At https://www.meritltd.co.uk/buy-FreeGo-Eagle-id422, but presumably part of the standard notes?

Help please? Power comes in pulses

I didn't mention this before because there seemed to be people on the case who know much more the I do; but are you sure the sensor didn't originally have 12 magnets and some have gone awol. The red led would flash away, just not to the right pattern. I doubt anyone could tell the difference by...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

The Orange she got has Bosch crank drive. I think it was around 25kg with battery and all fittings. Anyway, not suggesting it for OP. p.s. I did try to suggest the Santana3 to the friend, I forget why she decided against it; probably that she really wanted hub gears (Danish and brought up that...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

Having the weight distribution low and balanced front/back is important for lively riding, but less important for pootling/shopping. An extra consideration is if your arms are at all weak. A fit but weak armed friend found that having weight further back and a bit higher made the bike much...

    Base plate

Quite likely the two left pins/slots on the battery are connected to each other , and the two right pins/slots to each other. I think the holders usually connect to the outer pair, with the inner ones on the holder (if present) not connected to anything (as Nealh says).

    Fitting yose power

and be careful of sharp burrs that can be there; they can easily cut if you aren't, and dirty greasy cuts aren't nice.

    Another Newbie

Enjoy your new bikes. Don't forget the bike will be working much harder when you end your ride and are going up the hill. If it is getting low on battery that extra work will cause voltage sag and could cause the battery to shut off completely to protect itself. The last thing you'll feel like...

Future EU e-bike (and heavy cargo) regulation

I think you'll find that the 20" wheel gives more torque at the drive wheel, but not more power.

Bosch PowertTube not charging after recelling

Were you careful while recelling to ensure that the BMS never lost power during the recell process. If not the BMS probably died, in that case from what I have read here the battery is bricked. I don't know if a dead BMS would give those symptoms though.

Setting a speed limit on bafang mid drive

I think the amount of power has a significant effect because it can change the way the rider behaves. They (the riders of the higher powered machines) are more likely to make sudden unexpected changes, and do them at speed, and weave through pedestrians in shared spaces. They are also more...

    new battery needed.Greenway YJ145 36 vl

Logically that is correct, and for you it is: 'just' connect the two wires. For many, the complications of different battery mounts (often with the controller mounted in the battery mount too) means that the logical connection of two wires is imponderable, and without help effectively...

    Bosch charging or battery problems

The Intuvia display has the odd feature that it always shows the charge level of the last battery it saw. So if you remove the battery, it may well show 60%, or if any of the connections are wrong, ditto. Also, the same if you take the display off the bike and turn it on. Occasionally useful...

Wisper Power cuts out suddenly when riding

There's probably a connector to the motor which you disconnected when you took the wheel off. Then when you reconnected you didn't push it fully home. There are probably pointers on both sides of the connectors, make sure they are fully pushed in right up the line. It can be quite stiff.
