Thank you so much - what a generous comprehensive reply. I have just been out with the tape measure and they should fit in ok. The door height is a little lower - short by about 10cm, but I think if tilted the bikes should go in fine. I agree I need to try some out and have a couple of contacts...

    Motorhoming & Electric Bikes

I have attended a few motorhome shows - there is usually someone there selling electric bikes as an importer - they are at the very bottom end - cheap, heavy and look pretty naff. BUT there is always a lot of interest and the guy sold out at the last show. You see people who have just bought...

We have a Hobby plated at 4500kg so weight is no problem. we tend to run very light and so this sounds ideal for us. We don't tend to park up miles from anywhere, so we are lookig to be able to explore locally, maybe 20-30 miles or so at a time - without moving the Van. Paul

Phil, thanks for this. I think this makes good sense. I am off (on a cruise!) for a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks, so perhaps I can arrange to come and see you and try things out in early August. Thanks for your help. Paul

I do like the look of the Wisper - what else did you consider before deciding on these? Paul

Thanks. Took a look, but on balance I think I prefer the Kalkhoff. I hear much of the Wisper 905se - looks good - but any views? Paul

Thanks for that. I guess I should have added a few more "ideals" - not too complex in terms of gearing, fair weather cycling. I will go back and adjust the post. Paul

Thanks John. In your opinion, is one better than the other in terms of power and reliability? Also, I should have mentioned we are "fair weather" cyclists - so we would probably not need full mudguards etc. I suspect we would even use a back pack rather than panniers too. Cheers. Paul

    Motorhoming & Electric Bikes

I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to help me decide which, if any, electric bikes would be good for motorhomers who want to use them to explore. Key criteria are: - range - the greater the range the better as its not always possible to charge up each night - weight - dimensions - needs to...
